The Infinite AquaSys 180 is a high-performance water-soluble support material specially designed for use with high-temperature thermoplastics, such as PEEK, PEKK, PEI, and PPSU. Composed of a water-soluble polymer, a compatible disaccharide (Trehalose), and a reinforcing additive, the AquaSys 180 offers outstanding thermal stability being the only water-soluble support filament withstanding chamber temperatures of up to 180 °C. It prints with the nozzle temperature of 260–300 °C and the print bed temperature ranging from 80 to 180 °C.
Building support structures with the AquaSys 180 helps avoid part deformation while printing complex models with voids or overhanging elements. The filament dissolves in warm tap water, leaving about 20% of non-toxic residual solids that should be collected and disposed of. The use of water-soluble supports eliminates the risk of damaging the part surface and reduces post-processing time.
The AquaSys 180 features excellent adhesion to a variety of high-temperature engineering thermoplastics and build plate surfaces.
The filament comes in a metalized resealable bag with a desiccant, and the manufacturer strongly advises storing the material completely sealed for moisture protection.
The Infinite AquaSys 180 water-soluble support filament is sold in 500 g spools. It comes in a metalized sealed bag with desiccant.
