The Intamsys ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) is an engineering-grade filament designed by the Intamsys company specifically for FDM printing. ABS is one of the most popular 3D printing polymers due to its superb print quality, moderate printing conditions, and affordable price. The Intamsys ABS thermoplastic allows creating durable neatly-looking models that can withstand mechanical loads, moisture and heat influence.
ABS is a great material for prototyping and manufacturing of a wide range of end-use products, like household appliances, spare parts, toys (e.g. LEGO bricks), and bicycle helmets, just to name a few. It is also a popular option in hobbyist printing.
The recommended extruder temperature for printing the Intamsys ABS filament is 245–265 °C, and the temperature of the heated bed is 90–105 °C. It is highly recommended to use a 3D printer with an enclosed build chamber to avoid shrinkage, and to turn on the cooling fans while printing.
The Intamsys ABS 1.75 mm filament is sold in 1 kg spools. It comes vacuum-sealed with desiccant.
