The Intamsys PEKK (polyetherketoneketone) high performance filament is an engineering thermoplastic, often used to replace metals due to its exceptional mechanical properties comparable to PEEK material. Thanks to its lower crystallization rate, PEKK is easier to print than PEEK as it is less affected by cooling and features good first layer adhesion and low warpage. The required nozzle temperature is a bit lower than for PEEK printing, ranging from 350 to 380 °C. The manufacturer offers printing profiles for all its materials, including PEKK, optimized for Intamsys FUNMAT 3D printers.
Alongside high strength and durability, the Intamsys PEKK shows incredible chemical properties, being resistant to most chemicals. It allows utilizing it in aerospace and automotive industries for making parts contacting with different fluids, as well as in oil and gas industry. High dielectric stability of PEKK makes it a perfect material for fabrication of insulating parts for electronic circuits or housings for electrical outlets.
The Intamsys PEKK 1.75 mm high performance filament is sold in 1 kg spools. It comes vacuum-sealed with desiccant.
