The Intamsys PLA (polylactic acid) is a high-grade PLA filament featuring excellent mechanical properties, exceptional print quality, and higher impact resistance compared to regular PLA. One of the key advantages of PLA material is its ecological safety. It is biodegradable and does not emit any toxic fumes while printing.
PLA is the material of choice if you are new to 3D printing, as it is fairly easy to print, affordable, and allows creating dimensionally accurate models with glossy finish and nice look and feel. It is great for hobbyist printing, from making useful or decorative household items to creating tabletop miniatures and cosplay props. PLA is widely used for visual prototyping when it is necessary to evaluate the product shape, dimensions, and overall appearance.
The recommended extruder temperature for printing the Intamsys PLA filament is 200–240 °C. The enclosed build chamber is optional as well as a heated print bed, although heating up to 60–80 °C is recommended. The cooling system should be turned on.
The Intamsys PLA 1.75 mm filament is sold in 1 kg spools. It comes vacuum-sealed with desiccant.
