The Intamsys PPSU (polyphenylsulfone) is an amorphous high-performance thermoplastic featuring excellent impact strength and high chemical resistance, including resistance to common acids. PPSU parts can operate at temperatures of up to 180 °C which is ideal for engine components manufacturing in automotive and aerospace industries.

Due to its excellent hydrolysis resistance, PPSU is qualified for repetitive steam sterilization; it can also withstand other sterilization methods which makes it a perfect choice for fabrication of medical devices. Besides that, it is safe for manufacturing products that are in contact with food. PPSU is a common material for baby bottles production.

PPSU-made parts boast high dimensional stability, excellent mechanical and physical properties, and good dielectric characteristics which allows for the use in a broad application range. In certain cases, PPSU can become a more affordable substitute for PEEK.

Like other high-temp thermoplastics, the Intamsys PPSU requires special printing conditions. The 3D printer should be capable of supporting the extruder temperature of 360–400 °C and be equipped with a heated print bed and a fully enclosed print chamber.
