The Modix 120X is a large-format FDM professional 3D printer. It is available as a complete kit or as an upgrade to any Modix Big 60 V2. Indeed, the 120X is a supersized version of the Big 60, featuring double the volume of its counterpart. As a kit, it comes flatpack with all the necessary parts and tools. The company provides you with detailed guides and video instructions for an easy assembly. The modularized design composed of T-slot aluminum profiles and standardized parts lets you assemble the device stress-free. Also, it allows for ongoing upgrades. Considering its enormous build volume and rock-solid structure, it offers a really good value for money.
Targeted to professional users, the printer is designed to ensure high performance and precision. Thus, it includes only own-brand, tested components of extreme quality. For example, it is engineered with Hiwin motion rails, E3D V6 geared Volcano & Titan extruder, professional signal cables from IGUS, and a 10mm-width PU timing belt with steel cores. The heated bed includes dual-zone silicon heaters. It is covered with a PEI print surface with 3M adhesive for improved print adhesion and removal.
You can choose to install a single or dual extrusion system and an additional enclosure for enhanced temperature control and stability. The printer also supports a range of upgrades and add-ons, including onboard camera and Wi-Fi connectivity. Read the review to learn more about the Modix 120x.

The Modix 120X is a large-scale FDM 3D printer that can print layers at 40 microns. This way you can produce parts with smooth exterior surfaces. It comes with a geared Z-axis system composed of lead screws controlled by a belt gear. This precision mechanism allows moving the bed at a layer height of down to 0.5 microns. The printer features a milled cast aluminum heat bed engineered with an automatic leveling system, which relies on 100 probing points for accurate calibration. It delivers high-quality large prints, rich in detail.
The Modix 120x comes stock with 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 mm nozzles. It is also compatible with a broader selection of tools ranging from 0.4 to 1.2mm in diameter. You will be able to choose the best nozzle for your printing needs.

The engineering-grade extruder allows processing a wide variety of filaments, including PLA, PETG, PVA, ABS, ASA, PC, Nylon, TPU, Woodfil, Carbon composite and other materials.
The extruder comes with a fan for printing with PLA-type materials. By cooling the model down, it reduces warping, stringing and, generally, makes for higher quality prints.
