Scan accuracy

The Polyga C506 is a structured-light 3D scanner that boasts two 5.0 megapixel cameras, making for a great scan accuracy of up to 12 microns with a point-to-point distance of 0.02 mm.

Scan volume

Designed mostly for small objects, the C506 features a ⌀ 55 mm field of view (the two scan areas being 45 x 27 mm – 45 x 30 mm) and a stand-off distance of 87 mm. The objects scanned should be 3 to 10 cm sized.

Scanner controls

The device uses the proprietary FlexScan3D software and operates through a plugged computer. The program ensures fast data capture and features advanced post-processing capabilities. It also includes basic quality inspection measurement tools for deviation analysis.

The scanner supports the most common file formats: PLY, OBJ, STL, ASC, FBX. For reverse engineering purposes, you can use the XTract3D add-in for SOLIDWORKS to extract measurement information from a part and design a parametric CAD model.
