The Polyga L6 is a structured-light 3D scanner that has two 3.0 megapixel cameras. The device allows you to scan objects with an accuracy of up to 80 microns and a point-to-point distance of 0.18 mm.
The L6 features two scanning areas to capture parts of different size. Specifically, it sports rather large fields of view — 265 x 225 and 375 x 345 mm, with a stand-off distance of 680 mm. The device is capable of scanning objects 20–100 cm in size.
The device uses the proprietary FlexScan3D software and operates through a plugged computer. The program ensures fast data capture and features advanced post-processing capabilities. It also includes basic quality inspection measurement tools for deviation analysis.
The scanner supports the most common file formats: PLY, OBJ, STL, ASC, FBX. For reverse engineering purposes, you can use the XTract3D add-in for SOLIDWORKS to extract measurement information from a part and design a parametric CAD model.
