The Raise3D Industrial PPA GF is a glass fiber-reinforced composite material with PPA (polyphthalamide) polymer used as a matrix. PPA, or high-performance Nylon, has higher melting point and glass transition temperature, lower water uptake, and better dimensional stability than PA-based materials. The addition of glass fiber improves mechanical properties of PPA and makes the Raise3D PPA GF a perfect material for end-use part manufacturing.

Due to its outstanding quality and excellent price-performance ratio, the PPA GF is widely used to produce functional parts in automotive, aerospace, electrical and electronics, and other industries. The printed models can be further annealed for 4–8 hours at 80–100 °C to obtain optimal mechanical properties.

The manufacturer recommends drying the filament at 80–100 °C for 4–6 hours before printing to ensure proper printing quality. It is strongly recommended to use the Industrial PPA GF filament with the Raise3D or 3D printers, which are specifically designed to work with high-performance fiber-reinforced composites. Using an abrasion-resistant nozzle will prevent the risk of nozzle wear, which often occurs to default brass nozzles. If support structures are printed with the same material as the model, they need to be removed after annealing. The PPA GF is also compatible with the Raise3D Industrial PPA Support filament.

Recommended printing parameters:

  • Nozzle temperature: 280–320 °C
  • Bed temperature: 65–80 °C
  • Layer height: 0.1–0.25 mm
  • Printing speed: 30–120 mm/s
  • Cooling fan: off
  • Drying temperature: 80–100 °C for 4–6 hours
