Raise3D PPA CF

Raise3D PPA CF is a carbon fiber reinforced filament based on polyphthalamide or high-performance/high-temperature Nylon, thanks to which it possesses extraordinary mechanical and thermal properties in contrast to other Nylon filaments. The material boasts a number of useful features, such as low density, reduced moisture absorption, high strength and rigidity, remarkable wear and creep resistance as well as excellent chemical and heat resistance. The outstanding strength-to-weight ratio makes it a decent metal substitute. Overall, the filament is ideal for end-use applications in a variety of industries, including automotive, aerospace, electrical and electronics, etc.

The enhanced fiber content of PPA CF filament requires printing with an extra wear-resistant nozzle and extrusion system, if you want to achieve consistent performance. Due to the construction peculiarities, it is recommended to use fiber-reinforced industrial filaments with the E2CF and the RMF500 3D printers: they are specially designed for such tasks. Otherwise, this abrasive material can wear out brass nozzles shortly.
