Scantech AXE-B17 3D Scanner

The AXE-B-17 is an easy-to-carry handheld professional 3D scanner. It uses a Class II, eye-safe laser technology composed of 17 blue laser crosses and an additional blue laser line. The efficient device benefits from an ultra-wide scan area, requiring half the markers usually needed by common handheld 3D scanners. This lets you save a lot of time when scanning large objects. The capability of stand-alone operation ensures precise 360° real-time 3D inspection without extra devices.

The product features high volumetric accuracy of up to 20 microns. What’s more, it boasts a built-in photogrammetry system tailored for measuring medium to large-sized objects.

Thanks to its low weight, the AXE-B17 is really easy to handle. The device has been used to scan cars, engines, sculptures, medical devices, and more, being a great tool for development, quality inspection, and reverse engineering.

Scan accuracy

The AXE-B17 is a professional global 3D scanner that can scan objects with an accuracy of 20 microns (300 mm ball bar) and a volumetric accuracy of 0.02 mm + 0.03 mm/m (0.02 mm + 0.02 mm/m with 1 m reference bar and 0.02 mm + 0.015 mm/m with the MSCAN-L15). With a resolution of 25 microns, it can perform 2,000,000 measurements/s.

More than that, it supports deep hole scanning and can easily capture complex parts, intricate positions, and dead angles, preserving high detail.

Scan volume

The AXE-B17 features an ultra-wide scanning area of 860 mm × 600 mm (3760 mm × 3150 mm in the photogrammetry mode). By moving the scanner over the object, you will be able to capture large parts at a consistent speed. The device features a stand-off distance of 300 mm and a depth of field of 500 mm (2500 mm in photogrammetry).

Scanner controls

The scanner includes integrated control buttons and a USB 3.0 interface. Easy-to-operate and user-friendly, it can process and export data to multiple file formats (STL, PLY, OBJ, IGS, WRL, XYZ, DAE, and more).
