Scantech TrackScan-P22 3D Scanner

TrackScan-P22 is an optical tracking 3D scanner produced by Scantech. It is a rock-solid, durable device with effective integrated design. It ships with the optical tracker sensor E-Track and the handheld CMM T-probe (optional). It works well in any environmental condition granting stable performance over time. It successfully combines dual-source Class II laser technology (20-micron resolution) with a versatile probing function (30-micron single point repeatability). Thus, it is able to quickly collect high-precision data without the need for markers. 

The scanner features a dual-scan mode powered by 7 red laser crosses with an extra red laser line and 7 blue parallel laser lines. The standard red mode makes it highly flexible and fast, the blue mode increases its accuracy delivering high-quality details with a resolution of up to 0.02mm. The device supports both camera tracking and marker tracking modes. Thus, when it falls within the E-Track blind area, it uses the markers to keep on scanning. A dynamic reference function lets it scan objects even during part’s position shifting or E-Track movement. The optional portable CMM is ideal for hole, edge and cylinder inspection.

Scan accuracy

TrackScan-P22 is a metrology 3D scanner that can measure parts with an accuracy of up to 30 microns. Depending on the laser mode, it provides a resolution of 50 microns (red mode) or 20 microns (blue mode). According to the part size, you can benefit from a 0.064mm (9.1 m³) or 0.078 mm (16.6 m³) volumetric accuracy. When paired with the MSCAN system, it reaches a volumetric accuracy of 0.044 mm+0.025 mm/m,

TrackScan-P22 features a measurement rate of 480,000 measurements/s.

Scan volume

This metrology 3D scanner can scan parts of 200 to 6,000 mm in sizes. Its scan area measures 275 x 250mm. The scan volume can be easily extended by moving the E-Track optical sensor.

Scanner controls

The scanner is controlled via a USB-tethered computer.

The scanner software can export 3D models in a variety of formats, such as STL, PLY, OBJ, IGS, and many more.
