The EinScan H is a professional high-precision Hybrid LED & Infrared Light Source color 3D Scanner. Thanks to the infrared invisible light and improved capture algorithms, you can capture dark-color objects such as hair without making the model blink if using the Face Scan Mode. The device boasts high-resolution scans, a large scan volume, fast scanning speed, and a handful of other useful features. Depending on your requirements, it can be used in Standard, Body, and Face Scan modes. Also, its built-in color camera allows for full-color captures and advanced texture tracking. The EinScan-H is an easy-to-use device that features a futuristic and lightweight design. It weighs just 703 g, making for easy transportation in a time of need.

The recommended object size is between 30 and 300 cm.

The scanner can be used in a plethora of different applications, such as:

  • Architecture
  • Art and generative design
  • Reverse engineering
  • Manufacturing
  • AR, VR, 3D modeling
  • Heritage preservation, artifact restoration
  • Science and education
  • Healthcare
  • Full-body and partial human scans

Scan accuracy

The EinScan H is a compact handheld 3D scanner that renders high-quality models. It provides different precision and acquisition speed values depending on the mode selected. The Standard and Body Scan Modes account for an up to 0.05 mm accuracy at a speed of up to 1,200,000 points/s (20 fps align speed). The Face Scan Mode allows you to capture up to 720,000 points/s (20FPS align speed), creating well-detailed objects with a peak accuracy of 0.6 mm.

Scan volume

The EinScan H offers an incredibly large single-scan range. In standard and body scan modes, it operates within a 200mm-700mm depth of field and provides a 420mm*440mm max. scan range with a 0.25mm-3mm point distance. For face scan mode, the depth of field accounts for a remarkable value of 200-1500mm along with an impressive scan range of 780mm*900mm and 0.05mm-3mm point distance.

Scanning Tips

Overall tips:

  • Apply a matte spray to easily scan dark, shiny, and transparent objects
  • Scan with a dark background
  • Use correct scanner settings
  • Fine-tune your scanner
  • Create a controlled environment
  • Avoid scanning moving objects

The Standard Scan mode is designed for:

  • Fast scanning of 300 mm - 3 m objects
  • High accuracy and resolution
  • Scanning with markers, feature, hybrid, and texture alignments

The Body Scan mode is designed for:

  • Scanning the human body and body parts
  • Precision and speed

The Face Scan mode is designed for:

  • Scanning face or body parts

Scanner controls

To control the scanner, just connect it to your computer via the dedicated USB aviation cable and complete the guided setup.

The EinScan H comes with a professional proprietary ExScan Pro software solution. It is an industrial-grade software for 3D scanning and data processing that features a variety of advanced options for data editing. For instance, it features point clouds generation, meshing, texture alignment, and post-processing. Also, it is really easy and intuitive to use.

Moreover, the scanner is supplied with the Solid Edge SHINING 3D Edition. It is a 3D design software that can be used to assist with reverse engineering, generative design, convergent and synchronous modeling.

For mesh editing, we strongly recommend acquiring the Geomagic Essentials software for its many tools to analyze and clean mesh data. Scan data is often-times imperfect, meaning there might be holes and imperfections in the data that you'll be scratching your head on how to fix. The ExScan software and SolidEdge does have a toolkit for fixing meshes but it is not as extensive or automatic as the tools in Geomagic Essentials. You will save a lot of time with the full Scan to CAD process with Geomagic Essentials in between, not to mention it is much more effective at working with large-sized files.

Having such powerful tools at your disposal, you will be in a strong position to execute complex projects.
