3D printer UP Box+ is the flagship model in the series of the UP 3D printers. UP Box is designed on the basis of UP Plus 2 and UP Plus 3D machines and is intended for professional users and educational applications. The device is equipped with an increased size of the working area, reaching 255 x 205 x 205 mm and an increased print resolution with a minimum value of the applied layer of 0.1mm. The print speed has been increased by 30% compared to UP Plus 2.
The printer has been widely used by makers and professionals. For example:
A group of makers fabricated a whole arsenal of weapons using the UP Box + 3D printer.
Another use case: these gears were printed on the UP Box+ 3D machine and coated with real iron and rust.
The UP Box + is an FDM 3D printer that can print layers at 100 microns. The surface finish is not as smooth as you get with the more expensive printers, but is more than enough for prototyping and household use. As you can see on the picture below, the rabbit model is quite smooth.
The UP Box + has a 0.4 mm nozzle, giving you the best balance between speed and detail. Check the below example out! The Notre Dame de Paris printed at 0.1mm layer height. Looks detailed enough, doesn’t it?

The print head runs on rods with linear bearings, making the design more simple, lightweight and effective, all characteristics that are desirable in a 3D printer.
UP Box + prints with ABS, PLA and other materials.
The extruder comes with a fan for printing with PLA-type materials. By cooling the model down, it reduces warping, stringing and, generally, makes for higher quality prints.
Unlike many FDM printers, the UP Box + has a heated print bed and closed print chamber, which means it can reliably print with ABS-type materials.
The UP Box + prints with 1.75 mm filament, providing you with a wide choice of materials.
The build volume of 10 x 8.1 x 8.1 inches (255 x 205 x 205 mm) lets you print just about anything. Even weapons:
The printer is controlled via PC.
3D models can be printed from computer via WiFi or USB.
The printer is compatible with the UP Studio software and works with 3D models in .up3, .ups, .stl, .obj, .3mf, .ply, .off, .3ds, .gcode formats. UP Studio is available for Windows 7 SP1 or later and Mac OS X.
The UP Studio App software enables models creation with basic building blocks via Puzzle Mode. You can convert 2D images into 3D images. The software is compatible with iOS 8.x or later versions.

UP Box + is available in black & orange colors. Its stylish look makes it ideal for both home and professional use.
The printer dimensions are 19.4 x 20.4 x 19.4 inches (493 × 517 × 493 mm). It weighs 44.1 lb (20 kg). The spool holder is mounted inside.
The price of the UP Box + is $1,358.00, which is reasonable considering its functionality.
