The China-based manufacturer TierTime is known as a national pioneer in 3D printing. Over the years of improvement, their innovative additive manufacturing solutions feature a whole new level of simplicity, affordability, and functionality alongside inspiring quality.
The company’s current lineup includes more than a dozen models and modifications. In this article, we will tell you about some of the most noteworthy FDM 3D printers from TierTime.
TierTime’s flagship 3D printer, the X5, makes it possible to move from printing individual objects to real small-scale production. The company’s engineers have developed a build plate auto-swapping system, turning the printer into a mini conveyor belt. A finished part is ejected along with the plate, making room for the next one, there being 12 available in total.
The build volume of TierTime X5 is 180 x 230 x 200 mm, and the minimum layer height is 50 microns.
Ready to print in plastics with a melting point of up to 300 °C, the model features a print bed that can heat up to 100 °C.
The TierTime X5 is engineered with rail guides. Files can be transferred for printing via a USB flash drive, Wi-Fi, or a wired connection. A 7" touchscreen is used to control the printer.
Another top-notch model in TierTime’s 3D printer range is the UP600 and its dual-extrusion modification, indexed D.
The industrial-grade device is equipped with a large build chamber actively heated up to 54 °C with a print volume of 500 x 400 x 600 mm.
The temperature of the extruder can reach 300 °C, while the minimum layer thickness is 100 microns.
Similar to the above-mentioned model, the printer is controlled with a 7" touchscreen, files are transferred for printing via Ethernet, wireless connection, or USB.
Next on our list is the TierTime UP300, which is a completely redesigned version of the popular UP BOX+.
The 3D printer also has a dual-extruder modification, and features a build volume of 205 x 255 x 225 mm, the extruder heating up to 300 °C, the print bed with a maximum temperature of 100 °C, and the minimum layer height of 50 microns.
As in the case with other TierTime machines, files are sent for printing in any way convenient to the user.
A unique feature of X5 and UP300 models is interchangeable extruders designed for different types of plastic: ABS, PLA, TPU. The printers come with one or two printheads depending on the delivery set.
