What’s so peculiar about the D10

Wanhao Duplicator 10 is a simple and affordable 3D printer for home use. You will not find any innovations or high-end functions here. However, this is its strong point. Potential users of the 3D printer are children, students, young researchers. Thanks to its ease of use and maintenance, Duplicator 10 can be a great tool for those taking the first steps in 3D printing.

Wanhao D10 comes fully assembled and ready to go. The printer looks like a toy, but the first impression is misleading. Under a plastic shell there is an all-metal construction — this solution usually guarantees high-quality, stable printing.

Wanhao engineers tried to hide all the moving elements inside the frame. The nozzle is completely closed as well, which is good protection against accidental burns when touched.

The standard nozzle with a diameter of 0.4 mm can be easily replaced if needed. The whole process of removal and installation takes mere minutes.

Before getting started, it is recommended to calibrate the bed. The procedure is performed in a standard way for budget devices: manually, using a sheet of paper and screws.

To prepare a 3D model, the manufacturer suggests using a special version of the Cura slicer — Cura Wanhao Edition.

You can transfer the finished G-code to the printer’s memory using an SD card (the slot is located on the front panel).

Another nice and practical feature of Wanhao D10 is its large color touchscreen display. The key menu items are provided with clear icons; the large, easy-to-read font is used for inscriptions.

Wanhao Duplicator 10 cannot boast a heated bed  — the 3D printer only works with PLA. A finished part is very easy to remove: the bed is equipped with a removable plate with magnets. Its surface has a relief pattern in the form of honeycombs. This solution provides both good adhesion and easy removal of finished prints.

The device is really compact, so the print area is not large. Such a device is suitable for small objects requiring high-quality performance. The resolution of products printed with Duplicator 10 will suit not only novices but also sophisticated users.
